Junior Firpo Set to Rejoin Real Betis After Leeds Exit
Junior Firpo is set to leave Leeds United at the end of the month when his contract officially expires on June 30th. Despite the club’s attempts to extend his stay, the left-back has opted to return to Spain, with Real Betis on the verge of securing his signature.

The 28-year-old has drawn interest from clubs in Italy and France, but it’s Betis—his former club—who have made the decisive move. Spanish outlet Mucho Deporte reports that the deal is in its final stages, with only minor details left to finalize before it becomes official.
Firpo, who left Betis for Barcelona six years ago, is expected to sign a three-year deal with the Andalusian club. According to El Día in the Dominican Republic, the contract will be worth approximately €14 million in total. The transfer is set to be officially announced on July 1st, a day after his deal with Leeds ends.
Firpo’s arrival is also likely to impact the future of current Betis left-back Álex Moreno, who could be pushed further down the pecking order as a result.
