Breaking News: Diggs Under Fire: Shocking Video Puts NFL Future in Jeopardy

The New England Patriots took a gamble in free agency by signing star wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

However, his time with the team could already be nearing an end.

Following a controversial Memorial Day weekend video, there are growing signs the Patriots may decide to part ways with Diggs.

Scott Zolak of 98.5 The Sports Hub reported that the idea of releasing Diggs is actively being considered — and not solely because of the video incident.

“I came into the show yesterday with the understanding — not just an opinion, but actual information — that releasing Diggs is being seriously discussed,” Zolak said. “And it’s not just about the boat. There are other concerns I’ve heard that raise questions about his commitment.”

Diggs is currently sidelined while recovering from a torn ACL. He was recently seen on a boat with several women, holding an unidentified pink substance — an image that sparked controversy.

His career has been marked by off-field drama and tension within teams. He appeared to force his exit from the Minnesota Vikings and wore out his welcome with the Buffalo Bills. Though he’s been a top-tier receiver for much of the past six years, he’s now likely past his peak.

Before his injury, Diggs caught 47 passes for 496 yards and three touchdowns in eight games with the Houston Texans.

Still, the Patriots are thin at wide receiver, which may leave them little choice but to keep him on the roster — at least for now.
